After studying general law at the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne, Isabelle CARLES graduated with a Master 2 in Private Law specialising in Individuals and the Family. In the same year, she obtained a certificate in criminal science from Assas University.

Isabelle CARLES has a perfect command of Spanish. As part of her studies, she completed her third year of law at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In addition to her studies, Isabelle Carles has always been involved in community work. She was a volunteer with Génépi and the toll-free number for legal and social information for people in prison.

With the aim of enriching her practice with professional experience related to her work, Isabelle Carles first worked for a year as a legal officer at the Meaux-Chauconin Prison and another year as a Penitentiary Insertion and Probation Counsellor.

Following these experiences, Isabelle Carles worked for several years with prestigious lawyers. In particular, she worked for Laurence ROQUES, former President of the Freedom and Human Rights Commission of the Conseil National des Barreaux.

Her commitment to associations and her work with two different law firms specialising in the rights of foreign nationals have strengthened Ms CARLES in her desire to help people who are all too often invisible and unaware of their rights.

Today, Isabelle Carles has opened her own practice, building on her years of experience in law firms. She assists foreign nationals in defending their rights, and is also committed to defending the rights of detainees, drawing on her experience in prisons.

Isabelle Carles is also involved in a number of associations dealing with immigration law and prison law (SAF, ADDE, A3D, La Parole est à l’Accusé).
